So for the past few months there has been one event that I've been really looking forward to. And it went down last night at the Kitting Factory. The Theory of a Deadman concert...three bands opened for Theory of a Deadman, all but one were new to me and the last one was one I had somehow managed to have forgotten about...Every one of them sounded amazing live which was great because today it can be hard to find actual gifted artists.
The first to be heard was a newcomer and was one I had never heard of before. Taking Dawn which is all rock rock was really good and got the crowd going.I don't know to much about the band except for they they are new to Roadrunner Records, the lead singer is a joker and is quite funny, and they have good songs and even batter guitar solos. It was a great way to start an amazing concert.
Another new band I was introduced to last night who I am falling in love with, maybe as much as Theory of a Deadman, is Adelitas Way. Adelitas Way was amazing and aside from their great talent, the band members were easy on the eyes too, especially lead singer Rick who also has a dead set sexy voice.I hope they come back real soon because most definitely have to go to more of their shows. A couple of their songs which I particularly enjoyed are last Stand, Closer to You, and Dirty Little Thing. By far an AMAZING group!
The last band to perform before Theory was Halestorm, who somehow managed to slip my mind before last night. A couple of my favorite songs are It's Not You, I'm Not an Angel, and Bet You Wish You Had Me Back. Almost, if not all, of their songs are about a relationship ending badly and are a bit on the depressing side but even so I love the songs and music. last night they really but on a good show and sounded way good as well. When Lizzy, the singer, first came out on stage she started singing slow and mellow and the notes she was hitting were amazing and her vocals sounded stunning. They also did a group drum solo later on which was intriguing and so much fun to watch.
And last but definitely not least was Theory of a Deadman! They were so so so much more than amazing and sound even better live. It was such an incredible concert and words can't even describe the feelings of watching them perform and how much fun it all was. If I had to choose my top favorite songs of the night it would be So Happy, All or Nothing, bad Girlfriend, Hate My Life, and No Surprise. I went to the concert with my best friend/"sister"/roomie and the two of us had a blast rocking it out on the floor, standing about 5 feet from the stage, listening to great bands, and making new friends ha. Best concert I have been to by far!!

Sounds like a fun concert I'm jealous I didnt get to go. I haven't heard of all of them but I have heard of Theory of Dead and they are good.
ReplyDeleteLucky you, I got to see a couple bands i've really wanted to see live at the knitting factory as well as had one of my all time favorites cancel within the week of his show! with similar results. Theory of a deadman would be great to see, they have some really good songs and it sounds like you really enjoyed them. Wish I could get out to see more live music, it brings another level to a band.
ReplyDeleteI love going to the Knitting Factory for concerts. Since I am a mom and live in Nampa I don't get to make it there anymore. The last person I saw there was Ray Lamontagne. I am glad you had that chance to see them. I will need to download some of their tunes.
